• Volunteers respond to our neighbors' requests for help beyond clothing and transportation. We conduct a comprehensive overview of individual and family needs, followed by referrals to local, state, regional and federal resources. If needed, we provide financial help with essential bills such as housing, utilities, auto repairs, medical and other services.

  • Volunteers staff our Clothing Bank, located at 974 Plain St. Tasks range from checking shoppers in and out; assisting with their shopping; and receiving and sorting incoming clothing donations. Volunteers are assigned for one Thursday or Saturday a month. Shifts are while the Clothing Bank is open Thursday and Saturday 9:45a -12:15p.

  • Volunteers provide transportation that has been requested by our clients. Requests are for shopping, medical appointments, banking and may be local or to Boston. Our coordinators email the list of requested rides to all drivers who only respond when they are available to drive. The assigned driver calls and sets up the details of the ride with the client.
